Westinghouse Electric Sweden supports nuclear operators across Europe with fuel services, decontamination solutions, and maintenance expertise. As part of its decommissioning and outage support programs, Westinghouse developed and deployed the U-DEC robotic cleaner. This system is used to clean reactor cavities, storage basins, and decontamination pools, often in radioactive or high-risk areas. By using robots instead of manual labor, Westinghouse reduces exposure risks, streamlines turnaround times, and enables safe operations in some of the most complex energy environments in the world.
